  • This recipe is so simple and it makes for a healthy dessert or snack
  •  It’ll take just 15 minutes for the pears to bake and they will send the most amazing aroma wafting through your kitchen.
  • You need to eat the pears as soon as they come out of the oven – piping hot and preferably with a dollop of cold Coconut yoghurt

Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp chopped hazelnuts
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 ripe pears, peeled

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/gas 4.
  2. Mix the hazelnuts, maple syrup, cinnamon and vanilla in a medium bowl and set aside.
  3. Use a sharp knife to cut the pears in half length-ways.
  4.  Hollow out the cores using a teaspoon.
  5. Slice a little off the rounded side of each pear half so that they sit flat. Arrange the pear halves, core side up, in an ovenproof dish.
  6.  Carefully spoon the hazelnut mixture into the hollows of the pear halves. Bake for 15 minutes or until tender.
  7.  Divide the pear halves between warmed serving plates. Finish with a dollop of Coconut yoghurt and serve without delay.
